Meet your Celebrant

Wendy Lloyd

I come to the role of Civil Celebrant with over 40 years of teaching in various spheres of the Education sector.  I value relationships in all their different structures and believe that all celebrations of life should focus on the positive aspects of those people who are involved in the ceremony.  

Life experiences have taught me to “seize the day “and being a wife and mother (of 3 adult sons), I have enjoyed many opportunities to take these moments and make them very special.  I know that it is from these moments I can bring the ability to make important moments for others meritorious and special, be they weddings, funerals, baby naming or vow renewal ceremonies. 

My goal is to create unique ceremonies that reflect the individuality of those involved. Every relationship is different, and it is my duty to ensure that your celebration is reflective of that. As an educator, I have always been open and highly adaptive to different backgrounds, races, genders and sexual identities and it is with this experience that I am able to be all things to all people, when it comes to preparation and conducting of ceremonies.

My focus is on celebrating important moments in your lives with professionalism and sensitivity.  I am legally qualified to take care of all the legal requirements of a marriage and  have many resources  to help with many of the other aspects of a ceremony, from music, readings ,  presentations and the writing of individualized vows.

As your celebrant, my goal is to make your ceremony stress-free and happily memorable. My job is to do all the hard and tedious work, while you relax in your day.
